Holy Oil Tank Mount

got some work done on the front oil tank mount I extended the back of the cable mount on this and mounted up some bungs then drilled out the mounting bung and welded in a sleeve for the cable to pass through,

Headlight mount finished and oil tank mounts started

I made up a the headlight mount today for the bike and started on the mounting of the oil tank. front oil tank mount

Found a Springer Front End Hiding In The Shop

So after a long weekend at the Brooklyn events fri and sat I needed a full day to get all the alcohol out of my body and back to work on Coreys bike I somehow found a perfect early big twin springer front end somewhere buried in the shop and though I would put it on the bike to see how it looks and we decided its going to stay there going to go with these bars with a riserless top clamp setup and just need to trim the bars to width when Corey comes back down to re fit him again

Up tight and out of sight battery box setup

worked on the battery box and mount today this is how she is gonna mount under the trans plenty of ground clearance on the bike so all is good and its tucked up nice and tight and out of sight solidly mounted to the frame with some 3/8" bolts box and hold down that I made to fit the tiny battery under shot of one of the mounts tacked into place all bolted up in place

Round Bar Trident Sissybar

Got some work done on the sissy bar we decided to go with the round bar trident style as its a little different but still holds that classic traditional chopper style its made out of full 304 stainless so it will look great when its all cleaned down some welding on the seams

Beefed Up Mid Controls and Down off the Lift

re worked the mid controls and made them a little beefier and re worked the bushing design so they will operate better also added a grease fitting to them so they can stay properly lubed and provide a lot of good operation for a long time making up the shaft support tig welded to the plate bushing pressed into the plate housing outer support bushing grease fitting installed mounted on the bike pulled it down off the lift today to get a good look at how she will sit

Mid Controls Shifter Side Almost Done

Cut up a plate to keep the kickstand in the stock location with the longer fork tubes and the mid controls a mid mount kickstand is going to get in the way and not really support the bike properly while kickstarting still has to be trimmed down a little bit and cleaned up but you get the idea started on the shifter side mid control tonight Im almost finished with it just need to weld up a support for the shifter arm and do up a linkage for the ratchet top on the trans started with this machined up a piece to hold the brass bushing into the plate for the shifter rod welded it into the plate and pressed the bushing back into place starting to layout the the foot position and have all the spacers cut and mounted etc. foot peg in place just need to make up a support for the shifter portion and make the linkage for it to the ratchet top and we are all done
