moving right along with this I made up a new shifter knob on the lathe out of aluminum made up this headlight mount out of aluminum since I needed one finishing up the finish on the exhaust primary side is all together close up of the mid controls rear fender in paint

Making Some more progress

built the trans last night with a good friend of mine over some beers went with a Cal products case mint condition OEM harley gears new Andrews mainshaft and countershaft and Andrews shifter forks and all new Jims bushings and races etc. S&S early style kicker cover and OEM 1 piece kicker arm Hi Bond aluminum kicker pedal All Colony hardware OEM ratchet lid and Fab Kevin Stainless Shifter Handle PBI made in the USA 24T sprocket no overseas made parts in the Trans We like to coat the insides of the trans cases with glyptol paint when we build them Motor is back from a complete rebuild just waiting on the custom stainless pushrod covers to show up

Okay so Im still way behind, combination of getting slammed with shop work that pays the bills instead of costs money and also waiting on things to get finished that I dont do myself such as full motor rebuild and paint work etc. and just waiting on a few back ordered little parts etc. Anyway Im just about ready to start final assembly just got the frame back from powdercoating today and my engine builder called today and said my engine is completely finished and I just about have everything to go together here on my end so hoping to get the frame back into a roller tomorrow then will probably have the drivetrain back in my by the weekend if everything goes well. Just some pics of the powdercoated stuff, the exhaust all metal finished (just have to still do the brushed finish on them) and some other odds and ends. Paint is still out at the painter but hoping to get that back really soon its going to completely set the rest of the bike off with the color combo we went with. Exhaust and Seat Pan Almost Done on the '56

Got all the fab work done on the exhaust now I just have metal finishing left to do on them I also made up the seat pan from fiberglass just have to trim that up to shape and mounted the mid controls just need to mount the rear master and the foot clutch Hoping to have all the raw fab work done by the end of this week then break it down for final welding then send the tins out for paint and the motor and trans will get a freshen up I still have a lot of work left to do but I'm starting to turn the corner Pics of the seat pan Finished the slip fit joint on the front pipe

Some More Early Harley OEM Springer Repair Work Finished, Another Old Springer Will Again See The Road

This springer was sent to me by a customer for some repair work. He wanted it to go back to stock length which was a little hard considering that the lower sections used for the extension were not OEM tapered leg sections they were just round tube that someone welded on and the front legs were extended with solid rod stock. So after locating a set of old Buchanans extended legs for him I was able to put this back together to stock length for the rear legs and the front was done over by using some front legs from Carls Cycle to get it back to its proper look.
